  • Do I have to pay to regenerate or update my app files?
No. Updates to the app files are included in your WPMobile licence. You can regenerate your app from the WPMobile dashboard without purchasing a new licence for that same app. You then need to publish the new version on the stores if the change affects the Android or iOS app files.Few readers
  • How do I update an iOS app that is already published?
Generate your iOS app again from the WPMobile dashboard. Once the new build is available in your Apple publication workflow, use it for a new version of the existing app in App Store Connect. Complete the required information and submit that version. Generating the build does not automatically publish the update.Few readers
  • How do I update an Android app that is already published?
Generate a new version of your Android app from the WPMobile dashboard. Download the new AAB file, then open the existing app in your Google Play Console. Create a new release, upload the file and complete publication. This is an update to your existing app, not a new listing.Few readers
  • How do I change my app name, icon or splash screen?
The app name, app icon and splash screen are embedded in the generated app files. Change the relevant items in your WPMobile configuration. Regenerate the app for free from the WPMobile dashboard. Publish the new version on Google Play and/or the App Store. Users need to install that update to see these changes.Few readers
  • Do I need to republish the app when I change my website content?
No. Your website content is loaded in the WebView and updates in real time. Editing a page, publishing a post or updating products does not require a new store release. Changing the app name, app icon or splash screen does require regenerating the app and publishing an update.Few readers
  • Google requires API level 36 or SDK 36. What should I do?
WPMobile supports API level 36. Update your app from the WPMobile dashboard to generate new Android files. Download the new AAB file. Publish a new release of your app in the Google Play Console using that file. Updating only the WordPress plugin does not update the app file already published on Google Play.Few readers
