# What is the difference between the WordPress plugin and the WPMobile dashboard?

The WPMobile plugin in your WordPress administration area is used to configure the app and notifications.

The dashboard on the WPMobile website is used to generate or regenerate your app files.

The Google Play and Apple consoles are then used to manage the listing and publication. Changing a WordPress setting is not the same as publishing a new app version on a store.
